Raster maps | Elemroot API documentation

The service serves pre-rendered raster tiles in two grids: Web Mercator (EPSG:3857; Leaflet, MapLibre and other web libraries out of the box) and the Estonian national L-EST97 grid (EPSG:3301; GIS software and applications that need precise Estonian coordinates). The endpoints follow the standard XYZ (slippy) and OGC WMTS conventions.

Note: the raster base URL is pump.elemroot.com (like the geoservices, not api.elemroot.com). Authentication uses the key parameter; the key must include the raster service.

In web applications use the eestig / eestio3857 layers: they work in Leaflet and MapLibre without extra libraries. The EPSG:3301 layers are meant for GIS software (via WMTS) and for applications working in the L-EST97 grid; on the web they require OpenLayers + proj4 (see the guide).
